Projects In Progress

The German Tinnitus & Hearing Foundation Charité pursues its goals within the scope of its financial resources through education campaigns on the risks of noise and stress, by awarding prizes, developing preventive measures, and in various projects.

With the prevention project "I hear something you don't hear", the German Tinnitus & Hearing Foundation Charité carries out direct educational work to raise awareness, especially among young people at various events about the connection between heavy noise exposure, distress and permanent hearing disorders. You can find out more about the Foundation's prevention work here.

Research currently focuses on the causes of tinnitus and the interaction of tinnitus and stress. You can find out more about the Foundation's research projects here.

To accelerate research, international science communication must also be improved. For this reason, the Foundation organises congresses and symposia. These platforms enable tinnitus experts from all over the world to exchange information about the latest research results and treatment options. You can find out more about the Foundation's congresses and symposia here.

The Tinnitus & Hearing Research Prize awards outstanding work by young scientists. You can find more information here.

Expanding the Europe-wide networking of tinnitus self-help organisations is the focus of the European Tinnitus Network EUTINNET, which was founded in 2019 under the umbrella of the Foundation. Please find out more about EUTINNET here.
