German Tinnitus Liga

With 11,000 members, the German Tinnitus League is the largest non-profit self-help organisation for patients with tinnitus, hearing loss, hyperacusis and Meniere's disease within Europe. It supports around 75 self-help groups in Germany and thus provides sufferers with the all-important space for continuous individual exchange.

Programmes and services - Members of the German Tinnitus League (annual fee: 50 EUR) receive comprehensive support

  • Individual counselling by experts on personal, therapeutic or socio-legal questions as well as assistance in choosing a therapy and the passing on of addresses of doctors and therapists who are members of the Deutsche Tinnitus-Liga e. V. (German Tinnitus League).
  • Precise tips for everyday life that enable all sufferers to lead an active and self-determined life and exchange of experiences with other sufferers in around 80 self-help groups or with one of the many telephone partners.
  • Regular member information, the quarterly magazine Tinnitus-Forum and events to which the DTL invites throughout Germany

Further tasks

  • Represents the interests of those affected in order to improve their situation in health, social and legal terms.
  • Informs the population, especially those affected, and provides appropriate education - also about hearing itself and the amazing abilities of the sense of hearing associated with it.
