New tinnitus research project UNITI

Friday, 07/02/2020

"UNITI" (Unification of Treatments and Interventions for Tinnitus Patients) is a research project funded by the European Union. In this project the largest European clinical study on chronic tinnitus to date is being conducted. The aim is to find out which treatment approach is optimal for a particular tinnitus patient based on specific parameters. To this end, clinical, epidemiological, medical, genetic and audiological data – including signals reflecting ear-brain communication – will be analysed from existing databases. A computer model will then recommend the best therapy. The German Foundation Tinnitus and Hearing Charité is member of the scientific consortium. Further information on UNITI can be found here.
